There is a famous quote that goes "those who cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it". I had the opportunity to open up a door to our country's past and see the events that have shaped the level of diversity we see today. This research has helped me to understand how to deal with and take advantage of the multiple different cultures and lifestyles that will exist in my classroom. I plan to integrate the diversity of the students to create a diverse classroom environment, allowing students to feel comfortable and more able to learn. I plan to continue to master this by learning about the different cultural perspectives my students will bring to the classroom.
